Gucci’s Tom Ford collection has become a fashion legend. From 1994 until 2004 he was the creative director of the Maison, where he advocated absolute sexiness, focusing on risqué silhouettes and seductive fabrics. His catwalk is littered with cutouts and cleverly placed hardware, silk shirts plucked near his navel (free your nipples, Ford said!), plush velvet to touch. suits were lined up.
The fashion renaissance of the 1990s and his 2000s put American designer Gucci’s collections back in the limelight, with vintage sellers and collectors demanding his Ford creations. Alexis Novak, founder of Tab Vintage, described Ford’s vision for Gucci as “the perfect combination of chic and sexy. He really knows how to create simple looks that catch the eye and stand the test of time with certainty.” I did.”
According to fashion researcher and internet sensation Kim Russell, known as @TheKimbino on Instagram, “There will always be times like Tom’s Gucci era, because that’s what fashion is all about.” Neil Leonard of Lab2022, an Instagram account dedicated to the archives of Gucci and YSL, simply says to those considering an investment, why your time and do you invest money?

Outstanding Collection:
My favorite collection is his Spring 1999. This is one of his collections that is so fun and sexy yet laid back that I never get tired of it. Many of my favorite celebrities were seen wearing it in his 1999 and Rihanna most recently.
advice:
Keep an eye out for items that are in good condition and reasonably priced as they sell within minutes. At the same time, at the moment there is absolutely nothing affordable. I’m sure it will take a while for the madness to subside, but once it’s asleep, it’s time to start looking.

Someone really likes to invest in these thongs and accessories, and someone collects clothes from ready-to-wear collections – I tend to the latter.

Outstanding Collection:
The 1997 spring collection is the collection that I always come back to. The head-to-toe look, conceived by Tom [Ford] and Karina Reutfeld, is the most understated, most tailored cut, the tightest trousers, stilettos with slits at the bottom and cinched to the ankles. , tight silks, or velvet slip dresses barely secured to the body by chains, GG thongs … everything the gorgeous, sweaty model wears is better than alive overnight with smokey eyes. It seemed to live fast. I always thought I didn’t have to look sexy enough to look sexy.
advice:
Please leave the shock sticker. When I first started browsing Tom Ford’s Gucci resale site, the selection was huge and the prices weren’t exorbitant. And now, thanks to some of the world’s most famous women wearing these collections, prices are skyrocketing.

Also, I think you need to know what this part is needed for. If you haven’t completely archived or stripped, skip the commercial spin-offs and showroom exhibits and head straight to the runway/promotional materials. Since Tom’s tenure, I’ve seen a lot of things being sold like Tom Ford’s Gucci on resale sites. And don’t hesitate. If you love it, buy it. Seriously, I’m still lost because I “needed to think” about the Spring 2000 ruffled leather bomber jacket.
