They say that necessity is the mother of invention and that the main driving force behind all new creations is some sort of necessity. It caters to different human needs, such as environmental needs. To create them, talented designers identified key problems, came up with innovative solutions, and put the wheels in motion to create truly inspiring inventions.
1. Lunch set for dementia patients
Eatwell is an 8-piece lunch set that promotes independence while eating for people with dementia. The bottom of the bowl is sloped for easy scooping and the bright blue interior makes food easy to identify. The spoon sticks to the edge of the tableware, making it easy to collect ingredients and prevent spills, and the handle is easy to grip and stable.

LifeStraw removes virtually all microbial contaminants, making the water safe to drink. This invention was developed to help people in developing countries who do not have access to safe water, and in emergencies after natural disasters where water is contaminated.

Mini Power is an eco-friendly solution that keeps your phone charged and ready to go. Still in development, these tiny cardboard capsules come in three sizes: 2, 4, and 6 he can be recycled after use. SOCKKET is a portable, energy-generating soccer ball designed to promote physical activity and raise awareness of global energy issues. This new invention recharges during normal play to power an energy efficient 3-LED lamp. Even better, for every ball purchase SOCKKET gives one of his balls to a child in the developing world.
